Alabama Supreme Court denies AG's request to set another execution date for Thomas D. Arthur



The Alabama Supreme Court has denied a request from Attorney General Troy King to set another execution date for convicted killer Thomas D. Arthur.

In a 6-2 decision Tuesday, the court ruled the state must wait for a lower court to determine whether Arthur will get access to DNA evidence.

Sure why wait for the silly test just kill the guy.  It amazes me how often prosecutors across the courntry end up asserting the results of the trial as opposed to justice and truth.  If we can learn the truth why not check it out,  especially in death penalty cases.  If we find out later that he didn't do it how can we fix it if he is dead.
