I obviously have to cut back on the Blackberry use

I had a dream last night that I broke the screen on my blackberry storm. Dreaming about your Blackberry has to be one of the warning signs of an addiction. I didn't wake up screaming or anything but the fact that my Blackberry has snuck into my subconscious is a bit troubling.

You be the Judge does he look like me?

I have been told more than once that David Letterman's blackmailer looks like me you be the judge?

I broke facebook

So I finally did a Facebook page and as far as I can tell Facebook crashed almost immediately.  Is this the modern equivalent of breaking a mirror?

Cubs survive my Jinx to win pennant

So I have decided to 'fess up to my weird superstition.  I do not wear team apparel for a team I want to win on the day they are playing.  I really think that the teams lose almost every time I do this.  I once told my brother about this and he has the same superstition.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I wore my Cubs hat for a couple of days.  The cubs were running away with things and I thought it was safe.  What happened?  The immediately lost 8 of 9 games.

Last Friday the Cubs magic number was 1 and they were almost certain to clinch and I wore my Cubs tie to work.  Of course they got smacked around by St. Louis and and didn't clinch after all.  So I have put my stuff away until the end of October.  By then the Cubs should be World Series Champs and I can wear it without any risk.

On Saturday I did not wear any Cubs gear (or MSU and they beat Notre Dame!!!) and the Cubs clinched the Pennant.

Go Cubs.

My new toy

An Amazon Kindle was my birthday present and I love it. If you know me you know that I love electronic gadgets. I have had a smart phone for over 10 years. Also if you know me you know I love books. The look the feel and smell, I love books.

So the electronic book reader was a bit of a conflict for me. But I am really happy with it. The initial cost is a little high but new releases can be downloaded for under $10. It is environmentally sound too because it is paperless.

It is really easy to read. I hate reading on a computer monitor and never read ebooks on my many PDAs. But the screen is just the right size and uses a special technology that is really easy to read and can be read in bright light.

It stores hundreds of books and documents.

On mine I have the national and diocesan constitution and canons and and all of the services from the book of common prayer and a few other things I like to have handy.

I really like the Kindle and the fact that it makes Star Trek technology advancement predictions come true is also very cool.

Est Anima Legis

So I was attempting to win the contest for the most obscure blog title. How did I do. For everyone, other than my father, who is not fluent in Latin, it means the spirit of the law, or sometimes the soul of the law.

So I am going to try Blogging

I am not quite so delusional that I think that lots of people are waiting with baited breath to see what I have to say but I am going to start posting here regularly.
