Three lower-Michigan bishops plan trip to the Dominican Republic in March

My Bishop is in the Dominican Republic this week to explore a companion diocese relationship.  Since the dioceses in Africa have refused these relationships of late this is a nice step to do outreach to those less well of than us.

From the Diocese of Michigan Newspaper.

In keeping with his announcement at Diocesan Convention last October, Bishop Wendell Gibbs will join two other Michigan Episcopal Church bishops (pictured at right at Lambeth) on an exploratory trip to the Dominican Republic. Gibbs will be joined by Bishop Todd Ousley of Eastern Michigan (left) and Bishop Bob Gepert of Western Michigan (center). The Diocese of Northern Michigan presently does not have an active diocesan bishop (see below). The trip to the Dominican Republic will take place March 6-11.
