Giving Up on God

Pundits have regularly states that the country is center right.  This may or not be true, I tend to doubt it.  But the problem for the GOP is that they have been hijacked by the religious right (which is neither as the old saying goes).  The GOP has moved so far right that the country is no where close to where the party is.  This is why it is so hilarious to listen to the neocons say that McCain was not conservative enough and they need to move farther to the right.  I hope they do!

Kathleen Parker writes about how the " evangelical, right-wing, oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP" has taken the party in the wrong direction.  
Simply put: Armband religion is killing the Republican Party.
